Sonia sought written undertaking from Uddhav Thackeray before forming govt in Maha: Ashok Chavan

Aurangabad: Former Maharashtra chief minister Ashok Chavan made a staggering claim that Congress president Sonia Gandhi had sought a written undertaking from Shiv Sena that the new government will work within the scope of the Constitution. The Congress president had stipulated clear guidelines for the state government to work within the constitutional frame, said Chavan,In yet another stunning claim, Chavan said Sonia Gandhi also told Congress leaders in the state that party should quit the government if it does not work as expected. The same was conveyed to Thackeray and he agreed to the conditions. ''We conveyed the same to Thackeray. He agreed and we went to form the government,'' Chavan said.
